Very hard well water and a recent smoke alert

Every drop from Fillmore’s taps is local groundwater, drawn from city wells along the Sespe River, and the 2025 water quality report gives an average hardness of 575 mg/L, with single samples reaching 810. Hardness is the calcium and magnesium the water carries. It shows up as crusty white spots on shower tile, grout and faucets.
